| I've used a few plotters before I got my GX 24, one really small 13" model that is now 10 years old, and a big 48" Graphtec. I have to say, the GX 24 trumps both by far. I love the optical sensors, and the precision they provide while contour cutting! This was the center piece of my new tee shirt and sign shop! Also, the price was the best I could find for this model! To sum everything up, I'd have to say that this plotter is very user friendly. You will need to install the updated drivers on Rolands website for this model if you are using windows 7, and if you follow their clear directions then it's a breeze! The cut studio software is great, but will take some time and effort to figure out how to properly adjust the crop marks for your contour cut prints. Luckily there are many good forums out there that explain how to streamline your work. I designed, printed, and contour cut my first shirt last night, and I Very pleased! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this plotter! | ||||

| I bought this a year and a half ago and it still works great. I had no trouble installing the software on windows XP but I just switched to windows 7 and its kind of a pain to install cause I had to download and update the drive. Overall I'm satisfied with it. | ||||

Industry standard piece of equipment. Super precise cuts, easy to use software, though you'll have to get updated plug-in and driver in order for it to work with Illustrator CS5. Shipping was super fast, and customer support was outstanding! |
