Shipping Information

How much does shipping cost?

The shipping cost depends on the total weight or size of the shipping boxes and the destination distance from our warehouse in West Chicago, Illinois.  Our shopping cart will automatically calculate the shipping options once a ship-to zip code is provided.


How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Our standard shipping methods are FedEx Ground and UPS Ground. Both services offer delivery in 1 to 5 days from West Chicago, Illinois according to the maps shown below. Most customers will receive their orders in 1-3 business days.

Specialty Graphics Supply normally ships within 24 hours of order receipt and most orders ship the same-day if the order is placed before 4:00pm Central.  Items that are drop shipped are normally shipped out within 1-2 days.  Shipments are prepared Monday through Friday.  If we are out of stock on an ordered item, or determine that it will take 3 days or longer to leave our warehouse, we will notify the customer by phone.  The transit times shown below are in effect after the order ships from our warehouse.

Note: The shipping time maps do not apply to drop shipped items as these items are shipped directly to our customers from the manufacturer.

Please Note:

    • For FedEx Ground and UPS Ground (to commercial locations), a business day does not include Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays.
    • For FedEx Home Delivery, a business day does not include Sundays, Mondays or holidays.  FedEx Home Delivery does deliver on Saturdays.
    • For FedEx Express a business day does not include Saturdays, Sundays.  If you have any questions on when a package will arrive using Express shipping please contact us. 
    • For example: We ship a package to a customer on Monday that normally takes 2 business days for delivery, the customer can expect to receive the package on Wednesday.  The day the package is pickup up from our warehouse does not count as the first shipping day.

Expedited Overnight, Second Day and Third Day Shipping

If you need an item fast, we also offer expedited shipping options from FedEx and UPS.   Expedited orders must be placed by 4:00pm Central (that's 5:00pm Eastern and 2:00pm Pacific) in order to be shipped the same-day.  Please note that items that require dropshipping from the manufacturer may not ship out the same day.

Please note that if an expedited shipping option is selected, delivery will be made either the next business day for overnight shipments or the second business day for two day shipments.  If overnight shipping is selected for an order on a Friday, the package will actually be delivered on Monday and not on Saturday.  If a Saturday delivery is required, please select FedEx Priority Overnight shipping with the Saturday delivery option.  The Saturday delivery option only appears as a shipping option on Fridays (Eastern time).

Orders requiring an expedited shipping option can also be made over the phone by calling 1-888-330-6172 during our regular business hours of Monday through Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm Central.

FedEx Express Saver is a guaranteed third business day shipping option that we offer to our customers.  Since we are located near Chicago, the only customers that this shipping option makes sense for are those located in the 4-7 day delivery zones for UPS Ground or FedEx Ground services (see the delivery maps above).  Customers located in the 1 to 3 day delivery zones could actually be paying more for slower service that they could have received by using standard UPS or FedEx ground services.  Shipping charges are not refundable for customers that choose the FedEx Express Saver option that could have otherwise been served faster and at a lower cost using standard ground services.

International Shipping

We do not ship internationally.  We serve customers located in the United States only.

Priority Mail from the United States Postal Service (USPS)

We offer Priority Mail from the USPS as an economical shipping option for light weight, low value ($<50) orders.  The standard shipping time for Priority Mail is 2-5 days in the continental USA.  Deliveries to Alaska and Hawaii and may take up to 7 days.

Our Priority Mail pick-up takes place early in the morning each business day.  Because of the early pick-up time, most Priority Mail orders do not leave our warehouse until the next business day.  A USPS delivery confirmation number will be provided on the sales receipt/invoice and also in the shipping confirmation email.  The delivery confirmation is not a true tracking number and will not provide the current whereabouts of the package.  It simply provides confirmation of when the package has been delivered.  Packages shipped by Priority Mail are not insured.  Specialty Graphics Supply is not responsible for packages lost in the mail system.

We reserve the right to change the shipping method from USPS Priority Mail to UPS or FedEx Ground services for any high value shipment that requires insurance or a delivery signature.

We cannot ship orders to APO/FPO addresses.

Delivery Signature is required for all equipment and high value orders

Please note that a delivery signature is required for ALL equipment and high-value orders.  Please make sure that someone will be available to sign for package(s) during the day.  If we have to change the ship-to address after the shipment has already left our warehouse, there is a $10.00 ship-to address change fee.  This fee is charged to us by FedEx or UPS and is passed on to the customer.

We reserve the right to change the shipping method or carrier on all orders at our discretion.
